As the flowers bloom and the days get longer, it’s the perfect time to refresh your home with a deep spring cleaning session! There’s something so invigorating about opening the windows, letting in fresh air, and transforming your space into a clean and beautiful sanctuary. Living in Seattle (IYKYK), spring is a much anticipated time to pray for sunshine and manifest summer warmth.
Here are some of my favorite spring cleaning tips along with some unique and feminine finds to elevate your home’s aesthetic.

01 | Declutter and Organize
Spring is the ideal season to declutter and create a more harmonious space. Start by tackling one room at a time, donating items you no longer need, and organizing your essentials. Try these chic organizational finds:
- Pink Woven Storage Bins – These stylish bins add a feminine touch while keeping your home tidy. If you like something more discreet that goes with almost any home aesthetic, check out these natural-colored fabric bins.
- Floral Drawer Organizers – Perfect for keeping socks, underwear, and accessories neatly arranged.
- Aesthetic Label Maker – Make your pantry and bathroom essentials look effortlessly chic with customized labels. I love this this one by Phomemo because it’s portable and small and syncs with Bluetooth to make it super easy to use.
02 | Refresh Your Fabrics
Launder your curtains, couch covers, and throw blankets to eliminate dust and odors that have accumulated over the winter. I also love upgrading my bedding and towels for a fresh and cozy feel. You don’t have to go all out with a complete home-makeover, just select a few linens to replace and upgrade. Trust me, it’ll go a long way in making your home feel fresh and clean. My favorites are:
- Blush Pink Satin Pillowcases – Not only do they feel luxurious, but they’re also great for your skin and hair. I love these ones by Kitsch because they’re machine washable and have a cooling effect that I’m obsessed with. For me, they don’t match my full bedspread so I just pull it out when I’m ready to sleep.
- Lavender-Scented Wool Dryer Balls – A natural way to make your laundry smell divine.
- Pink Feminine Microfiber Cleaning Cloths – Mae cleaning fun and pretty with these stylish cloths.
03 | Spruce Up Your Front Door & Entryway
Your entryway is the first thing guests see, so give it a seasonal refresh! Sweep the porch, wipe down the door, and add a fresh welcome mat to create an inviting entrance. Personally, I love having the layered doormat look with one slightly larger, flat mat with a print layered under a typical thicker mat.
Hang a spring wreath for a pop of color too. There are so many options” you can DIY, find one on Amazon or places like Etsy. I use this one each year for my front door.
04 | Deep Clean with Delightful Scents
Using natural and beautifully scented cleaners can make the process more enjoyable. Stock up on these must-haves:
- Lemon-Scented Multi-Surface Cleaner – A gentle yet effective cleaner that leaves your home smelling heavenly.
- Essential Oil Diffuser with Floral Blends – Create a spa-like ambiance with lavender, jasmine, and rose essential oils.
- Pink Rubber Gloves – Protect your hands in style while tackling your deep cleaning tasks.
05 | Add Fresh Greenery & Flowers
Nothing says spring like fresh flowers and plants! Brighten up your home with flowers from a local market or buy some faux arrangements that will last all season long for simplicity. We have a great list of our favorites in our Spring 2025 Mini Guide.

06 | Infuse Your Home with Light & Airy Decor
Swap out heavy winter décor for light, feminine touches. I have a shelf in my garage dedicated to seasonal decor that I swap out each season. Grab a few large containers and you’re set! For Spring, try these easy upgrades:
- Sheer White Curtains – Let in more sunlight while keeping your space feeling airy and elegant.
- Pastel Woven Throw Blanket – A cozy yet lightweight addition to your couch or bed.
- Floral Scented Candles – A beautiful way to add fragrance and ambiance. I love these Chloefu LAN candles; they last up to 55 hours and the jar is gorgeous for spring. There’s several scents but I love the Blackberry Rose scent in the pink jar the best. I stock up with a few for my bathroom, the guest bathroom, and bring out to enjoy during wine nights with my friends.

07 | Organize Your Closet
Pack away bulky winter clothing and make space for your spring wardrobe with vacuum storage bags This will keep your clothes fresh and free up space in your closet. I originally got these for my husband for when he travels (he is an over-packer by nature), but realized they were perfect for all of my winter sweaters to store during the spring and summer.
Make room for all your new spring outfits!
08 | Freshen Up Your Mattress
Give your bed a spring refresh by vacuuming your mattress and using a mattress spray to eliminate odors and bacteria. I’m obsessed with Linen Ritual by Muse Apothecary in their Lavender Serenity scent. It’s typically under $10!
You can not only only spray down your mattress, but use it on your curtains or any other linens for a quick refresh without doing a deep clean wash.
Don’t forget to rotate your mattress too! This is good to do once or twice a year to keep your mattress firm and extend it’s longevity.
09 | Refresh Your Air
A must-have for a spring refresh is clean air. Growing up, my mom, regardless of the season or weather would open up every window in the house each Sunday for a solid hour to “clean out the air.” Depending on the time of year, it would either by absolutely freezing or unbearably hot, but during the spring, it was one of my favorite memories.
The fresh breeze would cascade throughout the house and instantly our home would feel fresh and clean.
You can always opt for an air purifier to remove allergens, dust, and pet dander from your home if open windows doesn’t do the trick. With today’s technology, it’s sort of a no brainer to invest in one. Do your research- there are many options out there and everyone’s home needs something different!
We love our Levoit Air Purifier though. With a 100lb Golden Retriever, two active kids, and everything else going on in our home, it does just the trick!
10 | Add Color
This can be done in so many ways but is my favorite part of switching to Spring. Winter is stock full of “stuff”, deep and festive colors, and an abundance of decor that comes naturally with the holidays. It’s always a shock once we take down our holiday decorations… everything feels so bare!
Take a moment this spring to think about some ways to add pops of colors. Reuse items year after year or pick a new pop of color each year in small ways.
- Switch out throw pillows with brighter colors to your couch or patio furniture.
- Find colorful books at a thrift shop to add as coffee table books.
- Buy new kitchen towels to add some color while you cook.
My color this year? Yellow and Blue.
Enjoy Your Fresh, Clean Space!
