We all start our motherhood journey somewhere.
Mine? It started on a small island called Mercer. It’s smack dab in the middle of the largest lake in Washington and privy to all of the state’s busiest cities: 5 minutes west of Seattle and 5 min east of Bellevue, otherwise known as the Eastside.
It’s thought of as a small bit of North West paradise: a convenient hideaway from the bustling noise of city life with gorgeous views of the city skylines and offers a relaxing lake front life style only the wealthy can afford. Not me though… my husband and I came across an amazing deal somehow on a 100 year old brick apartment at the northern tip, one of the oldest buildings somehow still left. Read the rest here.
Hi, I’m Erica, Mom from Mercer.
Mom to Blakely and Brayden and our English Creme Golden Retriever, Brody, living out the 12th happy year of marriage to my husband, Evan.
I spent the last 12 years building my career in the corporate world of Baby & Kids Fashion while simultaneously building my family.
The life of a working mother is no joke and while I loved it, I’m excited to start my next chapter: one where I have more opportunities to witness the little moments, one where I place more priority on self love and care, and one where I stop saying “I have to” and instead wake up saying “I get to.”
I’m rediscovering myself: through motherhood, career changes and all that transpires over the course of early adulthood. Life has a funny way of changing when you least expect it. I’m an avid believer in “everything happens for a reason,” and currently searching for that reason. I’m excited to share my journey with you: the ups, the downs, and everything in between. I hope to hear about your journey too. Connection is what keeps us mamas sane after all!
