Whether you plan on enjoying a Halloween potluck or may even be planning a Halloween party yourself, these fancy party recipes are sure to bring the WOW to your event.
01 | Vegan Pastry Voodoo Dolls
This fun appetizer or dessert is a quick 35 minutes in total and comes with a free printable gingerbread man you can print out if you don’t own a cookie cutter yourself. It utilizes puff pastry, making this Halloween recipe super easy to pull off. Grab some long skewers to make these Voodoo Dolls extra creepy.
02 | Halloween Stuffed Pumpkins
I love these so much. The kids love carving the mini pumpkins and if you are short on time, they are just as delicious and impactful if you skip the carving altogether. These make for great side dishes for any Halloween dinner (or Thanksgiving!) and will definitely be something guests remember.
03 | Halloween Mummy Brie
I love this recipe because it’s quick, and easy, and is always a guest favorite. My kids love layering on the puff pastry strips! It’s always a fun centerpiece to a charcuterie board and great for kids and adults alike.
04 | Mozzarella, Prosciutto, and Pickled Peach Skewers
These appetizers are sure to go fast, and with only 30 minutes reserved for pickling time, these are a super easy snack to put together. I love adding these to a party as they’re not overly “Halloween” but bring the bright color and pack a refreshing punch of taste to any plate.
05 | Spinach Dip in Halloween Bread Bowl
Talk about your star centerpiece! This spinach dip is to die for (sorry for the pun! Couldn’t resist). The black tortilla chips are an added festive touch, but can easily be swapped out for carrots and celery.
06 | Roasted Butternut Squash Prosciutto Pizza with Caramelized Onions
Any pizza or flatbread will be a crowd-pleaser but this variation is sure to make you feel all the Fall-Feels. We love to make ours in our Ooni Oven, weather permitting, but baking in the oven tastes just as good!
07 | Halloween Evil Eye Appetizer
These are absolutely addicting so proceed with caution. I love serving these cold but also recommend baking them for 5-8 minutes in your oven. Simply drop each evil eye into a muffin pan slot to help them keep their shape while they bake. They’re extra good with goat cheese too!
08 | Fairy Fondue with Thyme and Mini Pumpkins
I love this for smaller gatherings and it always gets the biggest smiles from my kids. My tip would be to scoop your cheese fondue from the warm fondue pot right before you’re ready to have everyone dip, otherwise the cheese will cool too quickly.
09 | Halloween Bruschetta Appetizer
This one had me at Bruschetta. It’s simple, it’s delicious and it’s something you can easily put together beforehand. The skulls are surprisingly fun and easy to make: just melt your mozzarella for 6 minutes in this skull mold. I don’t typically buy extra “gadgets” for one recipe, but this mold is under $10 and I’ve used mine for countless Halloween recipes: candy, gummies, even doggie treats!
10 | Everything Bagel Goat Cheese Truffles
I mean, YUM. Anything with everything bagel seasoning is a sure win, but these take the cake. So good with crackers or on a skewer with cherry tomatoes and a bit of basil.
11 | Spider Web Deviled Eggs
These are crazy good, crazy looking, and crazy easy to make! Just takes boiling the eggs with some black food coloring; it’s like tie die for eggs. Get the kids involved in the prep for a fun activity!

12 | Marinated Olives
I’m a sucker for an olive bar and love the twist on these with the added Orange twist to add that pop of Halloween color.
13 | Creepy Rhubarb “Eye” Pies
These clever pies are actually much easier to make than they appear. Similar to cupcakes at a birthday party, these are an easy dessert for a larger crowd as they’re grab-and-go and self-serving. Do note you’ll need some edible paint for the white of the eye, but you can easily omit it if needed. I like the Edible Poppy Paint because it comes in a squirt jar, making it easy to be precise.
14 | Prosciutto-Wrapped Fig Hearts
Perfect for Halloween or even Valentine’s Day, these tasty bites are super simple to make. Making them is as easy as filling halved dried figs with soft goat cheese and then pressing each one into a heart shape. Wrap with prosciutto and drizzle with balsamic before serving. If you like the look of the black sword skewer, you can pick up a pack of 1000 here for just under $13. I use these sword skewers all the time: from my kid’s pirate birthday party to using for martini toppers.
15 | Figs with Bacon and Chile
This recipe calls for maple-caramelized figs with smoky bacon, It’s sweet, salty, and oh-so satisfying. I love these as an app or a side to a fancy Halloween dinner.
16 | Warm Blood Bisque
I love a good hearty tomato soup and this one does not disappoint. Taking it to a potluck? Transport over in a crockpot and use these cute black disposable soup bowls for self-serving.
17 | Midnight Garden Salad
Clearly the red petals add that over-the-top drama, but should you expect anything else for your Halloween festivities? This salad is absolutely delicious and I can’t recommend it enough. Not in the mood to splurge on some red roses? Swap out for some Raspberries or Strawberries- they’ll do just the trick.
18 | Black Magic Hummus with Chipotle
Such a great appetizer for all you hummus lovers! You get the black color from natural sources (black soybeans) vs color dye which is always nice. If you’re not one for spice, omit the chipotle in adobo, but if you can handle the heat- this is fire!
19 | Halloween Pizza Skulls
These bring me back to my childhood love of pizza pockets. YUM. We love making these for family night or the kids’ sleepovers in October. Everyone can customize their “toppings” which also helps with those picky eaters! To make it, you’ll need a cakelet skull pan. I have tried a few different brands and found the Hoafy Silicone Cake Pan to be the best: it’s easy to get the skulls out and can be used for cakes and ice cubes as well.
20 | Halloween Pasta Salad
Who doesn’t love pasta? This recipe is so fun and you can easily change out the past noodles or add in extras like chicken or meatballs. My favorite noodles are the Donne Del Grano Gourmet Squid Ink Stripe Bowtie Noodles. The taste is authentic Italian and the stripes make the dish super fun. You get two bags with each order so I typically use one for this recipe and another with a butternut squash sauce. YUM.
I’m curious to know, did you make any of these festive recipes? What’s your favorite Halloween recipe?
